An American denim label founded in 2003 by Andrew Chen and Johan Lam, who started out making graphic T-shirts before narrowing entirely to denim and accessories by 2011, once they realized it was their strongest category. Selvedge denim is developed with Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan, then cut and sewn back in the brand's own San Francisco workshop rather than overseas. It keeps flagship stores in both New York and Los Angeles alongside its San Francisco production base.
