Barbanera
Visit websiteAn Italian shoe and clothing brand founded in 2011 by brothers Sergio and Sebastiano Guardì with Alessandro Pagliacci, a rock musician, an advertising executive and an entrepreneur who shared a passion for handmade shoes despite none of them coming from a shoemaking background. The name means "Blackbeard," and the aesthetic draws on their father's love of art and antiques alongside rock and psychedelic music, mixing vintage research (studying real period garments rather than just buying vintage) with a Western, rock 'n' roll edge. Shoes and clothing are made in Tuscany, a region with its own long shoemaking tradition.
