An Italian footwear brand founded in 1991 by Gianfranco Fornari in Civitanova Marche, in the Marche region known locally as "shoes valley" for its concentration of footwear craftsmen. The designs lean on sailing and sea imagery (soft lines, natural colors, and an emphasis on lightness) for a nautical, coastal take on Italian-made shoes. The brand later passed out of the family before founder Gianfranco's daughter, Giusi Fornari, bought it back.
