Beorma
Visit websiteAn English leather goods maker founded in Walsall in May 2022 by Alex Simpson, a former British Army bomb-disposal specialist who'd spent 15 years in the military while quietly designing bags and patterns in his spare time. When the historic leather brand Whitehouse Cox closed its factory at the end of 2022, Simpson brought on more than 25 of its longtime skilled artisans, carrying their techniques into his own new factory. Walsall itself has been a center of English leatherworking for more than seven centuries, and the brand's name comes from Beorma, the village whose name became Birmingham.
