Billy Tannery
Visit websiteAn English leather goods maker founded in 2016 by Jack Millington, a dairy farmer's son who noticed that despite a thriving British goat dairy and meat industry, not a single goatskin was being tanned into leather domestically. They were all going to waste. He and childhood friend Rory Harker converted a farm building in the Midlands into the UK's first new microtannery in generations, using two reclaimed tanning drums from a Somerset tannery that had closed in 2013. Hides come from Cabrito Goat Meat, a British meat supplier, and are vegetable-tanned using a process that recycles 90% of the water involved.
