An American label founded in 2016 by Emily Adams Bode Aujla, a Parsons graduate who built the brand entirely around antique textiles (American quilts, Japanese kimonos, French linen, African strip-weave) upcycled into new garments rather than woven fresh. In February 2017 she became the first female designer to show at New York Fashion Week: Men's, and went on to win CFDA Emerging Designer of the Year in 2019 alongside LVMH and Woolmark Prize finalist nods. The whole label is built on the idea that a garment can carry someone else's history into a new one.
