An Italian denim mill founded in 1938 in Robecchetto con Induno, between Milan and the Alps, by Luigi Candiani under the name Tessitura di Robecchetto Candiani, originally making a single type of Massaua cotton workwear cloth, about 10,000 meters a year. His son Primo took over in the 1960s and steered the mill toward the growing denim market, a shift the company has built on for four generations since. It's now known as one of the world's most technically advanced denim mills, and also sells finished jeans direct alongside its wholesale fabric business.
