Visit websiteA British shirtmaker founded in 1986 by Nick Wheeler (full name Nicholas Charles Tyrwhitt Wheeler) while still a student at Bristol, who started the business on the belief he could make a better shirt than anyone else. The brand name is Wheeler's own middle names, borrowed from an ancestor, Sir Hercules Tyrwhitt. It grew into the UK's largest mail-order shirt business before opening its first physical shop on Jermyn Street in 1997, followed by stores in Paris (2001) and on Madison Avenue in New York (2003); Wheeler received an OBE for services to retail in 2017.
