Colhay's was founded in 2019 by Ronnie Chiu, a former lawyer with roots in Hong Kong's garment trade, after two sweaters his father bought in the 1970s were still going strong decades later. Chiu tracked down the craftsmen behind that quality in Hawick, in Scotland's Borders region, long regarded as the home of fine Scottish knitwear. Colhay's now works with those same Hawick knitters to produce heirloom-quality cashmere and lambswool sweaters built to outlast trends.
