Dalmo Cashmere was founded in Tuscany in 1950 by Lorando Dal Monte, who learned traditional knitting craft passed down through his wife's family, and went on to produce knitwear for houses including Ferragamo, Trussardi, and Saks Fifth Avenue. In 2000, the family refocused the business entirely on artisanal knitwear, working with fine yarns like pure cashmere, cashmere-silk blends, and rare vicuña. The brand is now led by Dal Monte's granddaughter, Clotilde, who has carried the family workshop into a more international, contemporary phase.
