Dick's was founded in Edinburgh's Stockbridge neighbourhood in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Andrew Dick, a former Guardian editor originally from the area, and Uli Schade, an interiors photographer. The pair left London for a quieter, more compact life and opened a men's and womenswear shop built around a tightly edited selection of timeless, well-made clothing and homewares. Dick's has become known for championing small, independent manufacturers alongside its own understated, relaxed take on classic style.
