DOPPIAA, its name short for "Double A," was founded in Milan in 2015 by Alain Fracassi and his longtime friend Albert Carreras, son of the tenor José Carreras. Fracassi grew up around tailoring, as his father had founded a Brescia-based tailoring retail business in 1969, and that heritage informs DOPPIAA's commitment to 100% Italian manufacturing and carefully sourced fabrics. From its flagship on Milan's Via della Spiga, the label channels the city's polish alongside the more relaxed spirit of the Italian Riviera, through soft-shouldered, garment-dyed pieces with a lived-in feel.
