ETQ Amsterdam was built in 2010 by founders who'd grown tired of logo-driven fashion and wanted to design sneakers the opposite way: minimal branding, with the focus put on construction instead. Its signature style, the LT 01, set the tone that's carried through the range since, strong, quiet silhouettes designed in the Netherlands and handmade in a family-owned atelier in Felgueiras, Portugal. The brand sums up its own approach as speaking softly: "we whisper, but we whisper loud."
