Ann and Andrew Payne started General Knot & Co. in the fall of 2010, after years working as design directors for Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Original Penguin, wanting to build something themselves rather than design for someone else's label. Neckwear, bags and accessories are all made in the US, cut from vintage and rare textiles the couple sources from around the world rather than newly milled fabric. Runs stay limited and don't get repeated once a specific fabric lot sells out.
