Gloverall
Visit websiteGloverall was founded in London in 1951 by Harold and Freda Morris, its name a contraction of the gloves and overalls they originally sold wholesale. The couple began by selling surplus Royal Navy duffle coats from post-war military stocks, then commissioned new coats to the same pattern when the surplus ran out, and by 1962 had opened their own factory in Northamptonshire. Its best-known coat is the Original Monty, named after Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, and every coat in its Heritage Collection of duffle coats, peacoats and wool overcoats is made in England at a factory that produces exclusively for Gloverall.
