Husbands Paris
Visit websiteNicolas Gabard left a career in law, then a communications agency he'd started and later sold, before opening the first Husbands boutique in Paris's 9th arrondissement in 2012, taking the name from the John Cassavetes film. The label made haute couture suits exclusively until 2018, when it shifted to ready-to-wear, built around 1970s-inspired tailoring: strong-shouldered double-breasted jackets, flared trousers and vintage fabrics. It's since become known for a distinctly cinematic take on menswear, rooted in that same decade's references.
