MAHI Leather's founder and a partner named Jamie started the brand in 2014, after failing to find a leather weekend bag that was both well-made and reasonably priced. Design and customer service run out of Stamford, UK, while every bag is handmade to order and shipped directly from a family-run workshop in Kanpur, India. The name comes from India's Mahi River, and the brand donates $1.50 from every bag sold to FRANK Water, a UK charity that's helped over 300,000 people in India gain access to clean water.
