Vanessa and Philippe Romain founded Mahogany in 2005, choosing to work exclusively in cashmere and sell it online rather than through traditional retail. The house has stayed an independent, family-run structure since launch, built specifically around pieces meant to be worn, repaired and passed down rather than replaced. Cashmere has stayed the brand's sole material focus for two decades.
