Michelangelo Cioni founded MaisonCashmere in Milan in September 2014, building the brand as an online-only platform from the start rather than opening physical stores. It was among the first in the cashmere industry to adopt an on-demand production model, making each piece only once ordered rather than holding stock. Knitwear is produced in the hills of Chianti, just outside Florence, and now ships to customers in more than 100 countries.
