Chris Chasseaud, a graphic designer and art director who'd previously co-founded DENT de MAN and worked as brand manager for Norwegian Rain and Blackhorse Lane Ateliers, started Malloch's after more than a decade in the fashion industry. The brand works specifically with factories in Hawick, Scotland, drawing on knitting techniques passed down there over generations rather than manufacturing overseas. Its range stays centered on knitwear built as long-term wardrobe staples rather than seasonal pieces.
