Nobile Italy started as a small sock atelier in Racale, in Italy's Puglia region, in 1982, during what was then the golden age of Italian sock-making with Racale as its acknowledged center. The workshop grew out of that tradition rather than breaking from it, staying focused specifically on hosiery rather than expanding into unrelated categories. Production has stayed rooted in the same southern Italian region since it began.
