Railcar Fine Goods
Visit websiteSteven Dang, a lead mechanic for the Los Angeles Metro, came up with the idea for Railcar Fine Goods during a graveyard shift and started the brand in 2010 out of his spare bedroom, working his way up to a garage and eventually a 500-square-foot workshop. He'd noticed that outsourcing production to large factories led to inconsistent quality, so every pant, jacket, shirt and leather piece is still designed, cut and assembled in-house by a small team. The company, now based in El Monte, California, carries forward a family mechanical tradition that started with Dang's father, Sonny, a former South Vietnamese fighter pilot turned mechanic.
