SUNSETSTAR opened in Graz, Austria in 2001, founded by Gerry, who ran the shop for close to two decades before leaving in 2018 to pursue other projects. It spent its first 13 years at a location called RSG27 before moving to Freiheitsplatz in 2016, building a following around curated heritage and Japanese denim labels like Naked & Famous, Japan Blue Jeans and Momotaro. It has also produced its own limited-run collaborations over the years, including a joint waistcoat with Big John.
