The Andover Shop
Visit websiteThe Andover Shop was founded in 1948 by Charlie Davidson in Andover, Massachusetts, serving the nearby Phillips Andover Academy from the start. Jack Lemmon, a Phillips Andover graduate, worked there as a sales associate before becoming an Oscar-winning actor and a customer during his time at Harvard. Davidson later opened a second location in Harvard Square, where in-store jazz salons hosted by the shop counted Miles Davis among its guests and clients, and where suits and sport coats are tailored on a signature natural-shoulder cut.
