The Real McCoy's was founded in Osaka in 2001 by Hitoshi Tsujimoto. It reproduces WWII-era American military garments and vintage workwear, closely following original construction and materials rather than a modernized reinterpretation. The label has since become one of the reference points within Japan's repro-Americana scene.
