Truman Boot Co. was founded in 2014 by Vince Romano, who spent two to three years teaching himself bootmaking before starting the company in Eugene, Oregon. Every step of production, from leather hides to finished boot, happens in-house at its Eugene factory, with materials sourced from the US and select European suppliers like the UK's Charles F. Stead Tannery. The company also makes wool socks from 100% US-sourced merino, produced in the same country as the boots.
