Wolf vs Goat was founded in 2010 by Mauro Farinelli, starting with a small line of artisan-made button-down shirting after his years working in fashion. From there it expanded into specialist dyeing techniques and sustainable fiber sourcing, describing its own positioning as "subtle opulence" rather than trend-driven fast fashion. Garments are finished by tailors and seamstresses in Italy, Portugal, and the United States, with the company based in Alexandria, Virginia.
