Oliver Dannefalk and Carl Pers founded Rubato in Stockholm in 2018, building the label around classic workwear and tailoring silhouettes from the 1920s through the 1960s. Rather than reproducing those references directly, the brand reinterprets them through a more contemporary lens, balancing period-accurate detail with modern proportion and ease. The name itself, borrowed from a musical term for expressive tempo flexibility, reflects that same idea of working within a structure while still bending it.
